Behavioural Scientist
I am a PhD student and Behavioural Scientist at University College London. My research has primarily focused on the application of behavioural theory and frameworks to understand influences on health behaviour, to inform physical, digital, and clinical intervention design. More recently, I am dedicated to advancing our understanding of the factors that contribute to obesity and developing interventions to address this global health issue. I am particularly keen on collaborating with policy makers and researchers across government to improve sustainability and health outcomes. In addition to my research, I am passionate about science communication and public engagement. I offer consulting and advisory services for public, NGO, not-for-profit and selected commercial projects.
Research Interests
As a PhD student, my research focuses on understanding the complex interplay between factors that contribute to the development of obesity. My research involves the integration of methods from a range of disciplines, including epidemiology, psychology, geography, and genetics. I am particularly interested in elucidating the role of the built neighbourhood food environment and genetic factors in shaping eating behaviours and weight-related outcomes. I am also interested in working with communities to develop and evaluate interventions that promote healthy behaviours and prevent obesity. By engaging with stakeholders and using participatory approaches, I aim to develop interventions that are culturally sensitive, contextually appropriate, and sustainable.
